"Take, eat; this is my body." Matthew 26:26
(Scroll down for First Communion Prep information.)
Jesus has given himself for us. He has done this in two ways: First he gave himself to us in the form of bread and wine so that he could change us from the inside out. Second, he gave himself on the cross so our sins could be forgiven.
Neither of these ways would be necessary if it weren't for sin. But God the Father created this antidote for sin so that we could be with him now and forever. Jesus invites us to his table where we can accept this gift by participating in his works. This is fulfilled on the cross and at the Lord's table in the Eucharist.

~ Pope Francis
The preparation of the child to commune with Jesus in the Eucharist begins in the home. Parents have the greatest influence on their children. By their witness of belief and commitment to following God, parents are the first and most important teachers of their children. On top of this foundation, the parish is able to help parents bring their children the final steps toward the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Confession.
With this in mind, St. Joseph seeks to help parents form themselves with thier children so they can grow together in love of the Father, through Jesus Christ. Our process combines two different formats for families: one for parents and one for children, under the title of "Building Domestic Church". (The family is the Domestic Church.)
